Spinal Cord Stimulation

Spinal Cord Stimulation

Is Spinal Cord Stimulation Right For Me?

While spinal cord stimulation has been used for more than 40 years, it is growing in popularity for the treatment of an increasing number of conditions, including chronic neck and back pain, failed back surgery syndrome, cervical and lumbar radiculitis, neuropathy, complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) and reflex sympathetic dystrophy (RSD) among others.

Spinal cord stimulation may be a treatment option for you if you:

  • Have been suffering from pain in your neck, back, arms or legs that has lasted six months or longer
  • Are experiencing neuropathic (nerve) pain
  • Have found little or no relief from surgery, medications, injections or physical therapy

Am I a Candidate For Spinal Cord Stimulation?

Spinal cord stimulation may not be right for everyone and can only be deemed appropriate treatment by a qualified medical professional. Unlike more intensive treatments, SCS can be tried for a short period of time in order to determine the effectiveness of the therapy. If you are unable to operate the SCS system or do not experience pain relief during the temporary evaluation, it may not be a suitable treatment for you.

If you have been living with chronic pain and have failed to find relief with other treatments, it may be time to talk to the experts at Q Spine Institute to discuss spinal cord stimulation and the latest advancements in neurostimulation therapy.
